Minorities for Medical Marijuana, Inc. (M4MM) is a 501c3 organization based in Orlando, FL. Established in May 2016, the organization operates chapters across 29 states, three HBCUs, and three international chapters.

After seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit and social justice work in cannabis, Roz McCarthy, Founder/CEO formed our organization in 2016 to provide sensible solutions. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of the amazing cannabis community!
Mission
M4MM's mission is focused on providing advocacy, outreach, research, and training as it relates to the business, social reform, public policy, and health & wellness in the cannabis industry.

The legalization of Cannabis in the US (16 states as of April 2021) was a huge step forward towards creating opportunities for better health and improved socioeconomic status. On the surface, this is a WIN for all entrepreneurial minded looking to launch a start-up in the space.
Not so fast though, as of 2019, only 1.8% of venture-backed Cannabis businesses owners were LatinX-owned and a paltry 1% Black-owned (nymag.com, April 2021). As with most things rooted in capitalism, this booming industry is dominated by white-owned, big business with the luxury of access to capital and a healthy professional network committed to their success.
